wobble wobble...
I only have 750 miles on my 1010 fat boy lo.
Last week I was out riding with my local HOG. At times the steering felt...odd, like at any moment it could go into some wobble..bit it did not.
This morning on the way to work, I got up to 45mph (speed limit) and then just backed off the throttle and the front end wobbled. In order to feel this wobble I had to use a finger tip grip on the bars.
I also noticed that if I put it in neutral at near 45 or less, the bike wants to go left..like there is excess weight on that side.
I have an appointment with the dealer for this on Thursday.
I will post what happens.

Good Luck with that! I have had a front end wobble at 30mph since day one, on my 09 ultra. I have clocked just a little over 13800 miles. The dealer checked the fall away, the alighnment, and something else I am not remembering. They will not replace the front tire because it is not cupping. I am certain it is the tire. I will be replaceing both front and rear in a month or so (soon as I have saved up the $$$$). The only time mine has been an issue, was on an incline switchback on The Million Dollar Highway.
My Fatboy has had wobble from day one (the 35-45 mph variety). I took it to the dealer and they tightened the head bearings. Helped just a tad but still not acceptable. I had a new front wheel installed with no help.
Well last night I tried something that got rid of ALL of the wobble. Yep, every single bit of it. And it costs just a few bucks to fix it. Today was one pleasurable ride for sure. At first I didn't believe it so I kept speeding up and coasting through the dreaded 40 mph zone and nada, not one single wiggle. I used the thumbwheel and locked the throttle and trailed it from 38-42mph and nothing.
What got me thinking about this is unlike spoked wheels that have their wheel weights attached to the spokes, our cast wheels have to attach the weights on the edge of the wheel on one side or the other. Since I had already installed Dyna Beads on the rear tire because I wore it out and replaced it, I had bought enough beads to use on the front tire when it was ready for replacement.
So last night after thinking about it I pulled the air valve out of the tire stem and installed 2 ounces of Dyna Beads into the tire. These little ceramic beads are amazing and anyone not using them will forever after trying them.
Here's a demonstration of the theory of them:

I've been getting mine here:

Make sure to get the applicator bottle and tube (spout) and then you'll need a 2oz pack of Dyna Beads for each wheel. When installing go SLOWLY tapping the application bottle. I use a large allen wrench and roll it over the bottle making it vibrate.
Oh, and the most important thing...don't forget to peel off those ugly lead weights. NO LONGER NEEDED!
So all of these things together cured the pull and the wobble? I don't have the wobble, but my bike drifts to the left like many others.
