Did you need help? Try to flag anyone down? Why didn't the fallen rider ask one of the other 3 guys there for a ride? Some guys nodded and acknowledged you, that was an offer to help.
I'm with Jeff W. on this one. With all the people who were already on the scene, if you had been looking for help, one of you would have been waving someone to stop.
I have to say that I always look out for fello bikers and if some is is wrecek or broke down and alone then I will stop and help, but if there is a group of guys and they don't falg me down then I go on. Glad you dude is ok, but it seems you guys had it all under contorl after he lost it.
The guys that 'looked' at you were probably waiting for some kind of sign to see if you needed additional help, especially since there were already a few people there with the downed rider.
There is a universial signal for those needing assistance.
If someone gives you a "thumb down" it means they would like some assistance for whatever problem they are having.
If someone gives you a "thumb up" it means they are okay and don't need any assistance.
If you look at someone on the side of the road and they just blankly look back at you without giving you a sign I would assume they don't need any more help, especially if there are a few others already there...
It's not that I feel like every biker that came by was obligated to stop and help, but slow down to get a thumbs up from us would be nice. Hell, in Texas people stop and help each other for a lot less all the time. And your'e right, if we had really needed help we could have flagged someone down and I'm sure they would have stopped. Just stumps me that nobody slowed down enough to find out if we were ok or not.
I've seen to many almost wrecks from people slowing down to have a look at situations that are under control. What the heck do you want? If you needed help stand by the road and flag someone. But don't put other people in harms way!

Yeah, i guess you all have a point. There was four of us standing. There was no cell phone service , and I guess I was expecting someone to stop and offer to ride up the rode and call for us if we needed them to.
I don't stop to check cell service. If I'm riding by I wouldn't know if you had service or not. Glad your buddy's alright.

It is your responsibility to ask for help. No one can read your mind, and with a group of people already there, there was no way for a driver to know you were in need. Ever heard of flailing your arms? Waving? If you just sit or stand there blankly, you are not asking for help.
Don't try to blame things on others. It is your own responsiblity.
