Scored an Original 1979 Harley Davidson Billboard / Wall Banner
Well, this was quite a score. Picked up a multi piece banner at an auction. When we go to pick it up, we realize it is not just a banner. it is a 10 piece Billboard ad. It is 21 feet long, and 8 feet tall.
It is still in the bag it was shipped to the dealer in, postage says September 1979.
It has a Sportster driving down the road. Across the bottom it says "AMF HARLEY DAVIDSON MORE THAN A MACHINE"
My plan is to hang it in full across an entire wall in the garage. Am I nuts to wallpaper it to the wall? i know it will look great, but there may be some collectors value to it.

great score, i wouldn't worry about what its worth id put it on your wall and its something you will have and it will look good and always be there.
Now i do like the idea mentioned above of mounting it on a panel each pcs think of it this way if you sell the house some day then you can take it with you.

From someone who majored in history, preserve it. Call your local museum, ask what the best method of displaying is. If you are worried about an investment, call Jay Leno and leave it in the bags. However, history should be enjoyed and preserved.
