Got My Gauges Finished
Harley seems to be out of the gauge business. These came from a touring, the bracket is an old model number for a dyna. I was gonna have them if they had to be sun.
Oil pressure was right up at start. As I knew from my Low Rider it takes at least 20 to 30 minutes of riding for the oil to reach temp. 25 minutes later she started to come up. At 35 minutes she was at 200ş. Outside temp was a nice 85ş.
Took her down to Southern Thunder for some service. A nice ride from my house. On the way back I thought for sure they had not filled it with oil.
The oil pressure started to flutter like crazy. I slowed down and it stabilized. Speed back up and the flutter came back. Stopped and checked the level it was fine. When I got home and it cooled off I pulled the sensor plug. One of the pins came out. The one for the pressure sender.
I couldn't get it to stay in the connector. Then I remembered something that was in the bag. It was a retainer clip. The pins didn't have wings that flared out. They just had bumps on the pins. With out the retainer it would not stay in the clip.
Got that on after a shot of Wild Turkey American Honey. Was going in for the helmet and the bottom fell out.
Crap back to the American Honey.
Sorry about the fingerprints haven't had time to wash her.
