A friend (I swear) was bringing home his new bike from the dealer.
He hadn't ridden in a few years and the first stop light he pulled up to.....forgot to put his feet down. He's a comical guy to begin with but to hear him tell the story the first time.... he went over with the bike.lmfao

I've done the exact same thing on my EGC. 'cept mine was followed by a few choice words. I know the video you're talking about but I had no problem facing the bike and lifting that way. I would never use my back for the power to lift it. Keep ur chin up when you lift. It'll force you to use more of your legs and less of your back. Don't let your face hang lower than parallel to the ground. Otherwise it'll go into your back to pull.

Of course - if you aren't in a hurry and there's people around ... get help. No need to kill yourself going solo so good call on your part.

Dropped mine in the Driveway(Gravel/mud) Hit a patch of mud and the back swaped with the front. Guards did their job not even a scratch. my problem was after I Picked it up I could not reach the Kick stand so had to lay it down put the kickstand out and then pick it up again. Lucky I've got the procedure down for lifting and not hurting my back.

Glad everything turned out okay both with you and your bike.

Been there done that on the road up to Mt. Rushmore, stopped on more of an incline than I thought had another 2 - 3 inches to get the foot down. I tried but....Ol went one, I went the other. Bunch of people around to help get it back up. Forewarning, make sure you attention to where your help pushes. Had one on the back for whatever reason pushed on the lid of box and broke the fiberglass.

Welcome to the club.

Since I've joined the club while learning on my new bike I think this is an awesome idea. Glad I work in a firehouse and that we just happen to have some old hose laying around
