I want to buy a dyna. I can't decide between the fxdx because it is the best handling harley or something like a 2007 superglide with the bigger engine and 6 speed trans. Any opinions out there would be appreciated.
The 88" actually has better gearing. The DX is a good handling bike but not the best dyna...that would be the FXR. Either way, I don't think you'll be unhappy. Enjoy your new dyna whichever it is.
@dvm...I don't recall 'bagger' being an option here.

The stronger 96-inch motor and smoother 6-speed were high on my priority list also. Looking at the various models' specs will allow you to compare those aspects which greatly affect handling: suspension travel, rake, trail, tire size... Learn how these differences relate to the type of riding you do. For example, with more rake you would expect to sacrifice quick-handling in favor of greater straight-line stability.
You must do your own due diligence. Then a specific model will have greater appeal to you.
