They need to be glued on. Just buy a small tube of super glue, pour all of it into the inside of the grip and slide it on.

+1 Much easier to get off if you ever need to. Spinning like the throttle is not normal.

Go the tape method. Works great and still easily removable or adjustable if need be. If you install this grip with the glue Kuryakyn supplies with the grips you will not get the grip to budge again unless you plan to trash it. Ask me how I know. I just went through this.

old school method still works well, HAIR SPRAY< or Spray paint, both work well, SOLID and can be removed with effort when needed.

+1 Only use tape now and they never budge.
