I agree with that. I lost a friend in CO 10 years ago when he was hit by a riding lawn mower which fell off a trailer belonging to a lawn service. It happened so fast he did'nt even have time to take any evasive action. I have seen trailers come unhitched several times in my 33 year driving career and seen more stuff fly out of loaded trucks and trailers than I can tell ya. I will NOT drive/ride behind anything with a load. You should'nt either.[sm=badidea.gif]
The cager is tied to a post (ala firing squad). Bikers with lit cigarettes move forward and put them out on the tied cager. Repeat until the point is made...
Barbaric, yet effective.

I once had to dodge a plastic truck bed liner in the middle of the interstate! I wonder if the dumb @ss had the awareness to realize it was missing?
Bikers should have the right to hit a cager with anything they allow to fall off/out of their cage. Lit cigarettes definately included. It is only fair...

I agree with the cigarettes, but use pennies instead. A lit cigarette won't do any damage to the car.
A few days ago I was driving the car behind a pickup truck loaded with scrap (Fred Sanford like) and a car hood came sailing out of the back of the pickup, flew over my car and slammed into the grill of the car behind me. This was at 65 MPH on the interstate. This would have clearly killed a motorcycle rider.
Glad you are OK, that does scare you to death. A few years back I belonged to the Gold Wing Road Riders and a club member was riding his gold wing trike on the freeway when a pickup truck carring a couch flew off the back. The couch landed right in front of the rider and all he could do was hit it head on which caused him to loose control and run into the center divider. He was killed instantly, so everytime I get behind a pickup or big truck with stuff tied down I am looking to get around them.
i was being pushed up a one lane rode one day by some dip$h1t in a sporty car and a wood skid fliped out of the back of a truck in front of us, i gassed it and swarved but the car wasnt so lucky. the skid was sitting in the passenger seat. I stopped to make sure he was ok and to call him an @$$hole for pushing me up the rode. I bet he doesnt do that again.
I had a hell of a wake-up call the other morning. I'm ride the back roads tring to wake-up all of the sudden a dove comes out of nowhere and smashes into my windshield, and to think I almost left the shield at the house.Bet that bird won't have the guts to do that again, cause I'm wearing them.
