So, just a question I would throw out there. Who that has one of the Harley custom paint sets (the limited numbered ones), has seen another bike like theres with the same set?
The reason I am asking is because about 3 or 4 weeks ago I went out for an all day ride with some buddies. It was the first time really getting out and riding my bike since I swapped the tins over to one of those special military edition Fatboy paint sets from 2005. I was so excited about it because I felt that I would be totally unique and never see another bike like mine since they only made 200.....WRONG!!!! During our ride, we stopped at Battlefield HD in Gettysburg PA and I went to park and look to my right and 2 spaces over is a softail (and not an original Fatboy, so it had the silver motor like mine) with the exact same paint set as I got. What are the chances?
Just wanted to know how many people out there have actually seen another bike with the same paint set.
I have a 2004 Fatboy Devil Tail Flames (107 / 200) for 7 years and never saw one like yet but a friend of mine said he saw one like mine once.
But I wish there was a webpage where I can go and see what each limited paint jobs HD offered over the last X number of years. I think it would be cool if there was such a resource existed. If anyone can get me the data, I would even volunteer to do that work myself.
As for my bike, I spent some time googling around for others from the same year with my custom paint, and found only one that was sold in Texas on a similar Deuce.
Well, its not a numbered paint set but I have one of only 600 Arresting Red 1999 FXR2. The FXR2 was the first CVO bike made by the MoCo. They made 900 total FXR2's with 600 in the Red and 300 in the bright blue. I have only seen 3 like mine (red) in all the years I have owned it. I have NEVER seen one of the blues but someone told me all the blues were exported. They also made the FXR3 in 1999 in a green flame and a blue flame. If you have a blue FXR2 I would sure like to see a photo of it.
"Trust Me" .... 2008 set 80/200 on my crossbobes when I bought (stole?) it a year ago for 12,500. I like it more every mile i ride it. have not seen another one on any bike any where.
I have some questions about my custom paint set. Its on a 2010 Fat Boy Lo, I think its called screamin eagle. Any one with one like it can you please message me.
