I have 2 near me. One is a late model Super Glide. The other is a Cross Bones. They never move. Except when the grass is cut. Then rolled back to the same spot. Outside all the time. Rain or shine or snow (yeah it snowed here this winter, twice). Might as well be bird baths. Looking at the domiciles these people are not that well off. Not judging, just saying. I have seen this phenomenon before. I cannot wrap my brain around it.
Mine sits outside here in Germany, covered if I am on a trip without it, but never sits more than a day or so, even in the cold and rain. Wait for a nice day to ride in Germany and you get 3-4 in a year. I have hit 7 countries so far this year and it just broke 70 2 weeks ago. On the OP though I would talk to them, might get a pretty good deal there.
My shop is in an industrial area. There are several other shops I pass on the way to mine and every once in a while the guy around the way rolls his 50 something HD servicar out when it's in his way and leaves it out until he has room to put it back inside.
I can't remember how many times I've stopped by & tried to buy it from him...
Theres a black Deluxe a block away from me.On the weekends the owner parks it out in front of the porch or on the street.Only seen him ride it a few times in the 10 years I lived here.
