It looks like Mark might be sitting at the Vinita City Clerks Office! It could just as easily be a gas station or restauraunt next door, but it is also very possible he is paying a traffic ticket! HA!!!
Therein lies one of the MAJOR rubs.....they did not....I repeat....DID NOT....equip the bikes with ANY tracking device. Red Cloud said they would rely on fuel receipts and polygraph to the winner.
Im trying to stay positive for my friends in the challenge but I call bull$hit on this whole thing.

This could have been an epic event if it had been planned and filmed properly but I have to agree with you, I'm starting to have my doubts about the organizers.
That is a problem.... Lie detector tests are B.S. and frankly I bet it is more a threat then a reality. And if they tried to disqualify someone based on a lie detector test I suspect it would fail in litigation.
This would have been a far better setup to either:
1) Give the riders a checkpoint and allow the riders to choose their own route from A to B to C or as most endurance rides are organized;
2) Provide the route ahead of time and sprinkle the entire route with unannounced checkpoint locations. If you miss a checkpoint, you accumulate a time penalty to be applied at the end of the challenge.
The way this is setup is just too complicated to manage.

Do it similar to the iron butt rally where you have to take a picture of some landmark along the route.
It looks like the organizers did more on the promotion part than on the planning part.
No matter how this thing turns out the riders in it will have an experience of a lifetime.
From the tracking on these guys, it looks like Mark has the cleanest lines. As of this post he has just crossed over into Oklahoma. He spent an hour West of Siloam Springs and just took off again. I wonder if this is a checkpoint...
The guy I feel sorry for Charlie. He headed way up into the middle of Missouri before he realized he was on the wrong track. It looks like he is heading back down HWY 44 to catch up! HA!!!
It is kind of fun watching the progress...
A little US Rider Motorcycle News announcement regarding Chris Carr who is fast approaching Buffalo, OK and about 175 miles ahead of Mark:
Wheels up, you are correct. It looks like Chris Carr is a little ahead of Mark. Goes to show you how important navigation is in this race. Both there tracks look very clean.

Looks like Carr road I 40 for a ways. Don't know if that was the way their directions told them to go but I think some have thrown the maps that they are being given out the window except to find out where the next check point is at. The 3rd check point is in Rock Springs, WY. This came off two wheel adventures which seems to be a site for his support team.
