Stinken RR Tracks
Had a set of RR tracks sneek up on me today. Hit them hard enough that the bike felt like it bottomed out and my lighter fell out of the fairing. There was a pot hole at the tracks also. Now my bike has a vibrat6ion in the seat. Wheel looks ok , don't know what else to look for.There were two of my buddies behind me and my son was behind them in his truck and my son said he heard me hit .We were on our way back from the Pa. state ABATE party in Hazen Pa. Friday to Sunday ,great time. Now my bike vibrates and I jarred my neck.I wonder if I could have busted a belt in my tires. really don't feel anything in the bars just the seat. Any ideas!!

If you have spoke wheels, you may have knocked your wheel(s) out of true. Also, keep an eye out for your fork seals. I had a friend who hit some uneven tracks and knock a fork seal out.

Not sure where you live but
in Canada the railways must keep the crossings in good order. If you damage your vehicle on a crossing due to disrepair, then you can file a claim for damages to the railway. Or you can contact the governing authority and they will force the railway to at least make repairs to the crossing immediately.

I would try to file a claim with the railroad,at least tell them about the dangerous crossing.

If you can get your wheels off the ground with a jack or something, spin your wheels and hold a pencil or like, steadied by swing arm or something, close to the rims. If distance all seems the same and feel no bumps on the wheel, I'd just ride and watch for unusual wear.

Thanks guy's. Hey CDestuck I hit them just north of Mahafey on Rt 36 on my way back from the state ABATE party up in Hazen Pa. I think they are the first set you come across heading north out of Mahafey, so if you get up that way watch out for them.
