There are some really loud 2-2 exhausts out there....Some louder than open drag pipes!! All of the 2-2 exhausts have baffles but they can be modified to be quieter with no loss of performance....

I've had my new Thunderheader 2-1 exhaust for about 3 weeks and I've already gotten a $250.00 ticket. I'm starting to think I may have bought the wrong pipes.

I had a sound check done on my Jeep. The local sand dunes began enforcing sound level here in MI a few years back. They stand 10 ft behind the vehicle to measure the sound. It was a slightly windy day, being near Lake Michigan. My Jeep measured 84 db, BEFORE I started the engine. 86 at idle.

Sound checks conducted in an open enviroment are not accurate even if the equip is calibrated.
