How do i go about refinancing my bike? I got slapped in the face with a 17.8% APR threw HD, know any good companies, banks, credit unions?
um...WOW, you are currently getting RIPPED OFF!! I went through Members Alliance credit union and depending on your credit score I got a 5% apr. Go refinance ASAP!!
I might suggest a couple of things. One the HD dealer may have other options and two, I refinanced a vehicle through CitiCorp and they were helpful and I got a lot better rate.
your credit score is what its based on plus your negotionating skills if you have above 700 score, if your active military they can only charge you like 6 per, even if you started out at a higher rate they have to lower it my son had a 12 per on his bike when he was deployed it was lowered to i believe 6 per
Agree about checking your credit and see where you stand. Once you know your score and history you will be more confident in finding a lower rate. Credit union is probably going to be your best bet for a lower rate. Good luck

I've never heard of any cap on APR for active duty personnel. Can you post a link to this information? Thanks!

Not sure about the year round cap, but when a service member deploys they can wright a letter to their creditor requesting that their apr be lowered to 6% in accordance with the "Soldiers & Sailors Civil Relief Act". More times than not, you'll get your apr lowered.
