Default technical advancements in HD

we have all seen numerous statements about how harley's have old technology and hasn't kept up, etc. etc. etc.

i was wondering if someone with technical savvy could list some of the things that a honda
gold wing has that a harley ultra doesn't. and vice versa of cours.

and keep it to the advanced technical things. being water cooled vs air cooled isn't really a technical advancement. ABS yeh, that would be, but both have them. electric wind shield isn't an advancement, just a decision to put it on or not.

year 2009 might be a good one based on the changes that hd did in that model year.

thanks

Plastic is a more technically advanced material than chrome and steel.

Plus one for Honda.

well honda has the ability t orun on Rice in its corner, given that rice is so plentiful and requires very little to cultivate as opposed to the petroleum based oil products used in harleys

Harley customers demand they retain the customary styling. I think it is much harder to incorporate technological changes while keeping a nostalgic look.

Why bother? We don't care and they don't listen.

If I have to listen to one more ***-hole, rice-ridding, latte-lapping, tree-hugging, pin-head, bitch whine about Harleys, I'll explode. Most of them have never even sat on a Harley, let alone owned one. Their sister's, boyfriend's, cousin's, nextdoor-neighbor's, room-mate's son had one back in 1972, and that leaked oil, so all Harleys leak oil for all time.

The problem is that they want a Harley but are afraid all of their friends with their little gay rice rockets and color coordinated costumes and helmets will stop inviting them to the circle jerk if they actually grow a pair and buy a Harley.

I dont' really care what they say, but it's like a gnat buzzing in your ear; sooner or later you want to slap it.

I have both a 2007 Wing and a 2010 RoadKing. This is my 1st Harley. So far I like both but for different reasons. As far as techinal stuff I don't see much difference. They are both great bikes.

I believe the Gold Wing has a washer, dryer and stove appliance setup.
The Ultra has a cigar/cigarette lighter.

The Wing has a horrible seating position if you're tall.
