The TC96 is a hot-running **** and between the roasting engine heat and the ambient temps we're experiencing here (over 35 days of >100 degree temps so far this summer), I find myself riding less than usual. Am I imagining things or is the TC96 really generating that much more heat than the 88?
(I am REALLY looking forward to our first ice storm. I will have the most toasty comfortable bike on the road.)
No. "TowJam" was originally my Xbox Live gamer tag. To be honest, I don't remember how I came up with it but I've grown attached to it and decided to keep it for my online forums.

Boy you are a *****. Wow, a whole 35 days of over 100°. That's not even a good start on summer here in Phoenix.

Put some lowers and a faring on that purty bike of yous and combine that with Florida humidity. Then I will listen to your complaints. Until then suck it up.LOL No I don't think they are hotter. http://bobbyhill.home.att.net
Had the exact same complaint on my 06 Ultra. Could not believe how hot it ran from the factory. Delivered from the factory running extrememly lean. I finally put a PCIII on it and had it dynotune. Excessive heat issue went away. Runs much stronger, cooler and MPG is still ok. Wife no longer compains about heat either. Congratulations on the new ride.

I just got an 07 RK and find that it runs noticably hotter thenn my Dyna w/ TC88. I was gonna put those heat deflector thingys on it but I really wonder about how lean the bike is running and would think that once there are tuners for the 07's just to get it to richen the mixture up some. I really don't plan on pipes or anything till next year so we'll see.
I think the fuel map needs to be looked at and richen it up a tad. A richer mix will help cool the engine. How do the plugs look? brownish/grey or white?
