Default Tires

I like my dealership. I'm told by my dealership guy that my front tire's in the 'Red' as for wear. I ask, "Can I go to Mesa Verde, Colorado and back?" I'm in Alb. NM. He restates that according to Harley it is in the 'Red'. Means that I'm at 1/16 of the tread. How longer can you really go until it's really a concern?

It's already a concern.

Change it soon. I just had the same thing last week. I saw I was slowing down to drive with out sliding around on dirty roads. New tires I'm in over drive now.

Rather ride than worry about tire issues. Change it.

How often do you ride in the rain? Less tread depth removes less water= serious danger!

Getting that last little bit of wear out of a tire doesn't make sense in most cases.

Those tires are your only connection to the road. In a cage, if one blows you sometimes loose control and crash, and that's with three other good tires helping. Think what happens if you blow a tire on your bike; kiss your butt goodby. Change it.

I wouldn't think twice about changing that tire. Colorado to Alabama on a worn out tire, NO WAY!!!
