UPS leaves packages on our front porch all the time. Wonder what the criteria is for leave vs. take back.
Some companies require a signature from UPS upon delivery.

Eastern Performance unfortunately likes to stick a signature required on their packages. It's kinda annoying to cause they alwasy try to deliver during obvious working hours in middle of day when nobody home.

I ordered a part and it shipped on DHL. I received it the next day. Ordered another part from the same place and it went out on UPS that day. Delivered FOUR days later.
It was interesting watching the progress after UPS picked it up

The best thing to do when ordering parts is to ask if a sig. is required.

They should change their name from UPS to......OOPS!

I started avoiding UPS like the plague when they started requiring Priority Overnight for all handgun shipping to combat their own thievery. It has yet to cost me less than $40 to ship one. Makes a $100 action job really sting. If I can avoid them, I usually do.
I try not to support any company that participates in any form of anti-gun activity.

Unless a package is being delivered "signature required", they leave it any old place around my house. Sometimes it will be by the garage door, by the back door, by the front door, on the hood of a vehicle, or even at the next house! The only good thing that I have to say about UPS is that when a signature is required, they won't leave it without a signature. The same can't be said for FEDEX though.

UPS is losing market share to FedEx Freight and DHL. My delivery truck left the dock at 6AM and got to my door at 7:59......and he STILL had more stops. The drivers are worked like sled dogs.
I feel for 'em.
They may work hard, but no harder than a lot of people that don't even make close to the same pay rate: $26.00 per hour. You would think that people making that kind of money would be capable of not screwing up so much!

I prefer UPS over fed-ex , UPS will leave it on my porch next to the door,Fed-EX delivered my hogtunes to someone elses house down the road and they were never seen again(no one lived in the house ,realtors and home buyers were only one's there on and off) Fed _EX usually wont even except a signed letter on the door either, someone must be home. where i live UPS is faster and easier for me to get my deliveries, without having to take time out of work to sit home and sign for the delivery.

My problem with UPS is the condition of packages they deliver any more. I can remember when if it came via UPS it looked like it was just packed by the vendor. Now, most of the time it looks like the gorilla from the old luggage commercial threw it out of a plane from 30,000 feet.[:@]

I like that UPS leaves the packages on my door. I ordered a PCIII from Eastern PC and it was left on my door too. However UPS is slow. I am waiting 5 days for some parts from Alabama to Houston. I waited 10 days for slip-ons from Seattle to Houston. I'm just learning that my waiting means I saving money.
