Default Down load

Okay, question on the stage one. I want to post this here because I think I'll get more input. My dealer told me that a stage 1 down load will cover everything
up to a big bore kit[&:]. From what I read on here, that's wrong. What is correct ? Should I skip all the dealer down loads and just buy a SERT, or PCIII ?
My dealer doesn't have a dyno. I need help.

Very simple math

Download typically costs $150 each time

SERT is like $350

If you are ONLY going to do the Stage 1 - then "maybe" the download will work. Depending on your exhaust, you might get decel pops.

SERT / PCIII will allow you to do as many downloads as you like.

Long story short, the HD download may/may not work for your configuration. No easy answer, would not know how the HD download will work until after they've done it.

Personally, I went with the SERT because I plan on future upgrades - like cams

The dealer has diffrent downloads for diffrent stages a stage one will not cover every thing but probably most pipes and air cleaner but thats about it and they have a tendency to run lean gerat for gas milage and emisions not so great for performace and engine temp. Ive noticed those w/dealer downloads run around 15 deg. hotter than my bike and others w/some type of programer. The dealer also has stage 2 downloads and race downloads aleast they did for my 06' not sure abuot for 07'. If your dealer does not have a dyno I would look @ the pcIII I think you will find it cheeper online with more maps and more user friendly but that is just my opinion I went w/sert because my dealer is better @ dyno tuning it and you dont add any thing to the bike (in my mind that makes it more relible).

Contrary to popular belief, the bike shown in my sig pic is equipped with the big bore kit with cam's, AC, Screamn' Eagle pro II pipes and the proper download. It's a strong runner and runs absolutely spot on. No decel pop or lean run, pulls strong right to red line. I'm happy with it.
