102 degree days like we've had this past week I'm wearing a t-shirt. Most other times I wear a mesh with armor jacket. Have 2. One is a Joe Rocket 5.0, the other is an HD something or other.
Ya problem though guys is I have to wear all the safety gear on base (I'm military) which means long sleeve, reflective devices on jacket, gloves, pants, over ankle shoes, helmet, etc.
When it get's over 80 I use a Draggin kevlar shirt. It's a mesh weave so it let's air through and it will give you protection from road rash if you go down. I bought a gold shirt so that it wouldn't add to the heat factor. It works great .
Where are you on base? Here in NC it's Long Sleeve-T, Jeans, and a reflective belt on post, but not off if you have on light colored top. Helmet and gloves of course. In uniform I wear a reflective belt, some people wear a reflective vest.

I'm in DC at the Pentagon/Fort Myer/Henderson Hall. Jean and long sleeve t-shirt with a HD Reflective Vest is what I'm using now but the vest isn't good for breathing and the jeans are a bit warm. If a textile/mesh jacket and pants aren't going to be any cooler then jeans and long sleeve t-shirt there is no point in wasting money on driving gear.
Joe Rocket makes a mesh jacket that includes a removable reflective vest. I use a mesh jacket in warm weather and it works great as long as I'm moving. It's still hot when you're standing still in traffic but it'll meet military requirements.

Nothing beats leather for protection. I wear my leather bomber jacket up to about 85 degress or so, depending on the humidity. When it gets too hot I switch to a mesh jacket that feels like I'm wearing no jacket at all, by comparison. Then again, I'm very tolerant of high temperatures and I won't (and don't have to) ride without protection. Don't get me wrong...I'm man enough to ride in only a tee shirt, but I'm not man enough to go down in one .
I do like the idea of the Draggin kevlar shirt...gonna have to look into that.
I understand. When the temps get into the 90's and pushing the 100 mark, I don't think it's much you can do. Like I said if I'm in civilian clothes and have to go on post I wear a reflective belt, but off post it's the long sleeve T and jeans. I try to keep the colors as light as possible. Sorry I wish I had an easy fix for you.
