Hell, any decent chrome polish will remove boot scuff marks.

They make a product just for this. If my memory serves me I think it's actually called "Boot Scuff". Kinda works like a eraser and looks like a small tube of deodorant. Worked good for me.

I take a piece of aluminum foil, fold it shiny side in. Heat up the pipe and rub.

Chrome polish and if it's really bad, I gently scratch it with the polish and the edge of a penny. The metal in a penny is softer than the chrome.

I used lacquer thinner on mine today - worked fine and doesn't scratch.

Spray some Windex on it and use a Scotch Brite No Scratch scouring pad. Works like a charm on boot marks and baked on bugs!

I need some more help with this one, too. I accidentally knocked a microfiber cloth onto pipes yesterday. I tried Easy Off on cold pipes, Easy off on hot pipes (dabbed on with a tshirt soaked in Easy Off) and just plain hot pipes rubbed with a wet terry towel (cotton)...and the pipes were HOT, I had taken out the bike for a two hour ride before trying.

Maybe 50% of the mircrofiber came off with the wet towel on HOT Pipes. The Easy Off hasn't done much. Any advice?
