Default Novello Wire Extension

Got my kit today and finding it hard to believe that the male pin to female socket is only a friction fit. Somehow I expected more of a positive locking affair. Now, the posts I've read about guys soldering the male/female together make sense.

Just wanted to check with other users of this product to confirm my understanding how this system works.

First pic is of the two leads disconnected. Female left, male right. Second is with them connected.

Put heat shrink over them and solder if you like.

+1 To this.I just finished this pass weekend installing 14" Wild1's, I got to say I was worried about have to tug on the extension. I only put them together and used the heat shrink it comes with. I checked everything out and to my suprise everything worked. But I'm with you, I was expecting to here it click into place or something.

Thanks, least I know I'm putting them together right. I guess being able to disassemble them could come in handy in the event the wife doesn't like her new bars.
