Yep, knew I'd get rained on yesterday so I put my cell phone and wallet in zip-loc baggies and headed out for my ride. We definitely got dumped on. Even with a mesh jacket on it was downright *cold* being wet and going over the tops of the mountains. Brrrr. 88F at the bottom though. Sun came out and we dried off in no time. Great ride.
As for wideglidebob, from everything I've seen him post, his sole purpose is to provide valueless, antagonistic one-liners to the forum. I have him set on "ignore" for just this reason.

I think you hit the nail on the nose. I've gone on many good bike trips and rain is just part of the equation in most cases. I doubt this guy goes more than 50 miles from home in fear of being caught in a drizzle.
