Default First wreck

Sunday morning I wrecked for the first time. I was on a little day ride (300-400 miles) on my dual sport. Getting off the interstate in Parkersburg, WV when my front tire went flat. I was going to fast to make a gradual slow down for a turn and my bike low sided on the right side. I was only going about 30mph so it just got a couple of scratches. I had on riding boots, jeans, armored jacket, gloves, offroad dot approved helmet and goggles. Pretty much shredded my jeans and got a little road rash on my knee but other then that just a few scratches on my protective gear. Limped it to a gas station and pulled the wheel off to patch the tube. Made it about 20 miles and it went flat again. Another patch installed and another mile down the road the tire was flat again. Time to throw in the towel. My dad came and got me in his truck. It was an interesting day.

Props to the road glide and road king that passed me without offering a helping hand or even seeing if I was ok.

They probly didn't have any metric tools. Or didn't want to take a chance of a buddy seeing them stop to assist a non-HD.

I'd have stopped, if for no other reason than to ask if you needed to use my phone.

I had a flat tire on I-45 yesterday, so I pulled over, got out of the
car and opened my trunk.

I took out my cardboard men, unfolded them and stood them at the rear of
my car facing oncoming traffic. They look so lifelike you wouldn't
believe it!!!
Just as I had hoped, cars started slowing down looking at the men which
made it much safer for me to work on the side of the road!

People honked and waved, and it wasn't long before one of Texas's Finest
pulled up behind me.

He wanted to know what the heck I was doing so I calmly explained that I
was changing my flat. He told me he could see that but demanded to know
what the heck my cardboard men were doing standing at the rear of my
car.

I couldn't believe he didn't know....SO I told him......

Well DUH...I explained to the angry trooper.....

They're my Emergency Flashers!!!!
I GO TO COURT IN J ULY!
