I believe on my '08 ya roll the throttle forward , then start it...it will reset at turn off. Will check the manual tomorrow and post again if no one has confirmed this for ya.

I think the 2008 has to be set at the dealership with digital tech.

I have a 2008 Ultra. Simply roll forward on the throttle with the bike running. Hold five to 10 seconds and the cruise indicator will flash either green or red. Green means it is turnd on, red means it is turned off. If off and you want it on, release the throttle and immediately roll forward again and hold. This should toggle back and forth between on and off.

Note: Some of the early '08s did require a mapping update to enable user control of this feature and the re-mapping was free so most people had it done.

Parade mode allows for the rear cylinder to shut off when the bike gets too hot. It will still inject fuel, but will not ignite same. In effect this cools the bike. Upon roling on throttle it will again run on both cylinders.

I posted to a thread about two months ago on this topic and had mentioned that my bike went into the parade mode without me realizing that my bike was the bike that sounded like a popcorn maker and smelling like unburnt fuel, I was told that this was impossible because the fuel injector had been cut-out, well I thought maybe I was full of sh*t but obviously my initial post was correct then. I will say it again, my harley sounded like a large pocorn maker (or a metric cruiser with a sh*tty exhaust system) and I was embarrased to say the least.
