Avon Venoms....38 psi front,45 psi rear

I got this info from Avons website..

Different tires have different pressure requirements.

38R and 36F all the time. I weigh 265 and use stock Dunlops always on my '09 FXD. I get 20K+ on the front and 10K on the rear.

usually all my tires were rated for the same psi front and back......THIS TIME....the back is 10 psi higher and the bike does seem kinda squirley to me........then I took a real good close look at the tires....the back was made in Germany....the front from Brazil.........ummmmm

what to do as I'm leaving for sturgis in 4 days and now it's sat on a long weekend...

I agree the the OP - my RKC does not feel good solo at 40 lbs - squirrely is the word. OK for 36/38. 2 up at 40 is good as is 38 but 36 feels a bit heavy. Also worth mentioning that my Dyna is less sensitive than the RKC.

Another poster seemed surprised that anyone could notice a 4 lb difference. I can notice it easily on every bike I've ever ridden but my RKC is the only one I've ever had (in over 30 years riding) where I could notice 2 lbs difference.

"16 - 18 in the rear, 20 if 2 up, 30 in the front. Been running it for eons"

So that's how they get a suspension in them hardtails?

Been keeping the rear on my son's nightster at two up pressure all the time: 40 PSI. Don't push the bike hard so I have not noticed a difference in handling.
