95% of all statistics are made up to justify the person's position on a topic, including what you just read! There are so many variables in a accident which determines if it was or wasn't survivable they're all laughable. I never discuss the rider's decision to wear or not wear a helmet. If they're over 21 I believe it's their decision. I should respect their decision and likewise, they should respect mine.
Oh, I bitch about having to wear a seatbelts. Got a damn seatbelt ticket driving 3 blocks to the gas station to get a pack of smokes. That law dog must have been hard up for a ticket because it was pouring down rain. It's the law, so I try to comply
Helmet or NO HELMET, what makes you think you should decide what is right of everyone else, I say let those who ride decide!!!
On the seatbelt, I worked a wrecker for a while, one state patrol told me (at a bad accident) "I have never had to cut a dead person out of a seatbelt" and then almost three months later my nephew was killed in a car accident and guess what state patrolman worked the crash scene, he quickly had to revise his statement to "I have only cut one dead person out of a seatbelt" so there no true way to say if you wore a helmet, or used a seatbelt that you would survive an accident.
