Sir, Your information is dangerously incorrect. I have been a personal injury lawyer for almost forty years. Seat belts. airbags, crushzones and other lifesaving improvements have made vehicles much safer for us and our families. Collisons that produced life altering injuries forty years ago now result in minimal, if any, injuries. Hasn't been good for my business, but I'm glad it's gone this way!
[QUOTE=32vld;7114351]Better chance of survival in a cage crash without seatbelts then in a bike crash without a helmet.
I'd have to see some research before I'd agree with you on that one. I do agree that it's incongruent to enforce seatbelt laws in any State that doesn't have a helmet law. I'm not advocating for helmet laws. Both should be your choice.
Lobbying efforts on the part of insurance companies passed the seatbelt laws in Indiana. Eventually, they'll probably make us all wear helmets too.
