Got my new Road Glide Ultra in Vivid Black today. Traded in my 2010 Heritage. It was an impulse buy but I figure I did about as good as I could do on a 2011 bike and they gave me what I was advertising the Heritage for on Craig's list so I pulled the trigger. I love the way the RG Ultra rides. Really enjoyed the Heritage but always wanted a tourer.

Got back from Canada on my '07 RG last Thursday, unloaded, headed down to the local dealer to test-ride the RGU. Dealer made me a deal I couldn't refuse, so I also pulled the trigger on a Vivid Black one. It's just what I wanted! Just dropped it off at the dealer for a Pro Pipe 2-1 exhaust, SE a/c, and a download. My wife liked the sound of the Pro Pipe, so her 2010 SG is there getting one, too! We'll be at Hollister Saturday getting a Corbin seat fitted - and that should be about all the mods. If yours is like mine, the 103 will loosen up considerably after a couple hundred miles.
Went and looked at them today, nice nice bikes. I see they have the 09 tail light back which is good. The black one is the only choice for me. Congrats to both of you
Congrats, did you get some miles on it today? Maybe a short review?
Only got to ride about 30 miles today. I did get to go on some twistys and about 15 miles of highway. It's really easy to throw it into a corner. I was a little nervous about doing it because on the Heritage it took almost nothing to scrape the floor boards but the lean angle on the Glide is totally different. You can really lay it over. The 103 is nice but not a huge difference from my 96 with a Stage 1 and vance & hines on it. But the throttle is very responsive and for a such a big bike, it get's up to speed very quickly. The stock seat is really comfortable but I think I'll need a back rest. I had one on the Heritage and got used to it.
