Default What manner do you normally up-shift?

Was wondering how most people up-shift on their bikes. When I took my bike out for a test ride before I bought it I was wearing running shoes and using my toe to shift. The saleman noticed this and asked why I did it that way. I think it's because I never had a heel shift on any of my bikes until recently.

So I bought my Harley and took it out first time with my riding boots on... and my toe won't even fit under the gear shift. So now I've moved to up-shfiting with my heel. It's kind of grown on me over the last few weeks of riding.

I had not rode many bikes with the heel shifter but My Glide has it and I gotta say that I love it now that I got used to it.

I love the heel shift. I made it a mod on my last bike, and struggle to do the toe shift any more.

Toe shift on the Dyna. I could get real used to the heel shift on the Ultra. No Mo missed shifts.

Why would you reach all the way down by your feet just to shift with your hands. That could be dangerous, Skip. [sm=yeahsmile.gif]

Now if you put some kind of lever...
