I was back there a few days before July 4th and driving from Madison up to the Suring /Mountain area, I was amazed at all the HD's on the road Not very many crotch rockets. We had to take a detour because of road construction and the detour took us right by Doc's Harley Davidson.I never knew it was there. We stopped there on our return trip,,,,,just bought a stupid t-shirt. What a wierd place for a HD dealer.....was not impressed with that place, plus it has birds and reptiles in the back room. But back to the HD's all over the place. Living here in San Diego there are alot of bikes on the road, but per capita,I thought you guys out numbered the HD's out west.
I'm from Wisconsin and i think there are alot of Honda Goldwings around than HD's. For Doc's yes it's a strange place but the staff and service depatment is top notch. I bring my bike there for service 30 miles away even though there's a dealership 15 minutes from my house. Doc has a super car museum and just added a restraunt, lots to do while i wait.
I head north to WI every weekend, much better roads then Illinois. Even with all of the Harley's people still come up to you at a gas station and say nice bike.
Good day all, Wisconsin is a great place to ride. Motorcycles are a part of life there. It is where I ride all the time. I am attaching a link to a great site that has all the state routes listed and highlights on each route.
Per capita there has to be more HDs in Wisconsin than any other state.
I make the run between Racine and Door Co. every week. July through August is peek season for riders up here in the Door. They are all over on the weekends when the weather report is nice.
Next time up try;
Bay Shore Dr. north out of Sturgeon Bay.
Hwy U south out of Sturgeon.
Hwy T north out of Sturgeon.
Hwy I north out of Sturgeon.
Ferry to Washington Island.
Glidden Dr. Slow winding road along the lake, part of Hwy T
i went to doc's yesterday for breakfast. they were really busy and the food was good. price wasn't bad either. doc is a motorcycle genius. you need to see it to believe it.

There's lots of bikes in Wisconsin. I was visiting in Oshkosh last month and saw big bikes everywhere - Harleys and Gold Wings. Their riding season is shorter so they make the most of it when the weather is good.

What??? We have the best roads in the country here in the Land of Lincoln.
If the road I ride to work gets any better, I'm going to to have to start wearing a mouthpiece like a football player to keep from loosing teeth.
