Since you truly don't care (yeah right), I won't truly respond. Get rid of all that black chit unless your bike is black. It's past time for a little color coordination among the younger Harley riders.
If you insist on wearing Sidi boots, you might consider switching to the On Road or Adventure Sidis. A little more expensive but more common with Harley riders than the Vertigo.
Try to get a black (or colored) skull cap or do-rag to wear under your Shoei.
Why do you want a Road King, by the way?
Funny you should ask. See the other thread I started a day or two ago titled something like "Need Recommendation for a Touring Bike". Short answer - I love the Ninja but the wife hates the small uncomfortable black triangle on the tail pretending to be a seat. So she wants me to get a comfortable touring bike. I like the RK because I'm not a huge fan of the big front fairings, and I like that you can remove the windscreen and make it more sporty looking. Yet you can add a tour pack with the comfy seat back and luggage. Seems like the beast of both worlds.
And who you calling young? I'm 52. And yes, my Harley WILL be black!
I wear FF Arai, 3/4 Shoei J-Wing and Half Santa Cruz. I also wear Vanson Mesh in the summer and Langlitz Cascade and Columbia in Spring and summer. Full leather pants and full finger gloves.
Also Mark Paz from ride like a pro West Coast made a really good comment a while back, set up your bike to fit you. Logical but but few people do that first.
And Black is the fastest color.

Well, you're making a good choice with a Road King.
I would test drive the RK in your full gear. Some of that sport bike gear is made for a more forward leaning position. Something you probably won't be doing on the RK.
