There is 2 parking spots where i park at on the shaded end of the building, one on each side of the shop door. one for our puddle jumper quick parts run car, the other is open for anyone, or anything and when i don't ride the fatty, its unused 99.9% of the time. anyways, there are parking spots marked out like a normal spot with the inside line about 2' off the wall.. well i have a co-worker who rides his buell in sometimes so i park just about on the inside line with the right side of the bike near the wall. I come out of the shop and what do i see ? The freekin puddle jumper parked in the parking spot about 6-12" from my bike.. instant blood pressure boil.. WITF would be so stupid to park like that.. and not the passenger side towards the bike, but the drivers side and the door would have been just about even with my handle bars..
I did my road test of the customers car and just chompin at the bit to get back and find out who parked like such a a-hole.. i went around and asked 2 of the 3 who normally drive the car and neither said it was them.. i couldn't believe it was the 3rd person, hes the one with the buell..
I finally ran into him and waited till he wasn't near any customers, and i asked him if he parked the puddle jumper last. he said yes.. i couldn't believe it. i asked him WTF was he thinking ? he said what do you mean? i said parking so close to my bike that there was no way you could have got out easily and most likely hit the bike.. He said it was tough to get out but he was careful not to hit the bike.. I asked him didn't you think you were a little too close if you had to squeeze to get out of the car.. no reply..
I told him, look steve(not real name) i have parked on the the white line ever since the day you rode your bike in and parked next to mine to give you room to park your bike.. and i can dam well guarantee you that will never leave room for you again..
If someone parks too close that it's difficult to stand my bike upright in order to leave, it's too damn close. This has happened. I also got blocked in at a recent event. Some people have no consideration for anyone else.
i forgot to add, the puddle jumper is normally parked in the other spot on the other side of the shop door since its a little smaller and the car isn't very big. He said that someone else was parked in the other spot.. i told him the extra 10 or so spots out back wasn't good enough for ya or was it too far to walk.. i mean i was pissed.. there was no way you could have walked in between my bike and the car without turning sideways.. some others who saw it parked like that couldn't beleive he would have parked like that either..
the good news is, it was a beautiful day here in mid-western md and it was a great ride home and got to go out with the mrs for a short ride.. i love it when she rides with me..

insert bingo dude here..
I would never even think about parking so close to someone elses bike like that.
I wouldn't want somebody parked so close either, but I think you might have overreacted.
i wasn't yellin and screamin or hunting anyone down.. as soon as i saw the people who i knew would have driven the vehicle, i asked them flat out.. Did you drive the puddle jumper last ?
when i saw steve, as i said before, i waited until no customers were around, i didn't yell, just talked very straightforward and to the point.. no yelling, no bullshit.
