I will echo those that posted the quiet baffles do not make it that much quieter. What they do is deepen the tone significantly while dropping the db output slightly (around 3db is all). I would certianly want them on many of the V&H offerings. Still very much louder than stock though!

just to clarify: a 10dB increase in volume = "twice as loud", so if the 3dB drop is from the baffle's spec sheet, i guess we'd be looking at a noise level about 30% lower. (the drop in tone might help make it seem quieter also.)
realistically, i have no idea how that will measure on the "pissing off the neighbors" scale, though lol. better than nothing, for sure, but definitely less of a change than what i was expecting.
edit: 1dB is a "just barely detectable" difference in sound if im remembering my audio engineering class right. (it's been a few years....)

Fortunately, the V&H fishtails have one feature the Rineharts lacked: they do indeed have replaceable baffles! So I've just ordered the SmartPartz Hard Kore Baffles to work in conjunction with the V&H quiet baffles. I hope that does the trick.
definitely let us know what the verdict is once you get the smartpartz baffles! if those significantly help lower the noise level, they may be getting another order in the neat future.
