Default Handle bar grips.

Hey you all, I just found this place. Very nice setup. I was wondering where is the best reputable place to get Awsome Grips? The dealer grips suck and I can't seem to find a good place online.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Are "Awsome" grips a brand name, or are you just wanting some grips that are awesome? Are you looking for good looking grips, grips that feel more comfortable, or ...?

Personally I don't like the grips with chrome designs on 'em. Don't like the billet grips either. Grips are made for your hands and a chunk of hot-in-the-summer-cold-in-the-winter in the palm of your hand doesn't cut it. I've had some of the spongy grips that felt really good at the beginning of a ride, but soaked up sweat and felt lousy at the end of the day. Plus they don't last very long if you ride a lot. Some of the soft rubber grips are comfortable and look pretty good. They seem to last better than the neoprene type, too. Some old style HD grips are very comfortable, and the HD shops usually carry them for new bikes. I've got a repop grip for a Knucklehead era internal throttle, and a repop Shovel era grip on the left bar. Not so soft they feel squishy, but still absorb some of the vibration.

I just replaced the stock grips on my bike with Kuryakyn premium ISO grips. They look nice and they feel really good. The throttle boss also gives my right forearm a bit of a break on long rides.

That's a good looking grip. How does the throttle lock work?

It's not a throttle lock. It's a tab on the end of the throttle so you can lay your palm on it to keep the throttle open. Allows me to relax my grip on the throttle and maintain my speed. My finger tips tend to go numb on my right hand after about 100 miles. With this grip I can get some relief. The throttle boss can be adjusted up and down by loosening 4 bolts on the end of the grip. Then just twist the boss around to find a comfortable spot and retightend. Took me about three trips around the block to get the position where I liked it.
