Having converted my car to HID's, I have been looking at several different kits for my Sporty. Now that HD has a LED kit, I would love to see what it looks like in person.
I have the Harley-Davidson LED headlamp and passing lamps, they are worth every penny. Brighter than the HID unit, better side to side coverage too. It is amazing to see how well these light up the road.
For those contemplating the unit Kuryakyn sells, know that that has a plastic lens that will yellow quickly (you can polish it once a week to slow it down some). The Harley unit is made by J.W. Speaker (it is a customized version of their Model 8700 PAR56 LED headlamp), and is made in the USA and has a glass lens. The Harley version has a silver rather than black background, but here it is:
I have these and I love them. They are way brighter than my center headlamp. Pain in the butt to install. I had to do all the wiring. I learned a lot about wiring... never had done it before. Wouldnt be that hard now, but blew my mind when I opened the box. Had then two years now, never had a problem with them...
Guy here had one - had to buy another................1 rock and he's out $400
If a rock took out one of these, there was more damage involved than the headlamp. These are heavier duty than the stock glass headlamp. Then there is a question of availability, they are back ordered at the moment (and dealers won't ship these to each other, I had to take a 4 hour round trip before work to get my headlamp and passing lamps...). So I am calling 'male bovine fecal matter' on your statement...

I saw an LED headlight at the Kuryakyn booth in Sturgis.......I made the mistake of looking at it when it was on....I still have spots dancing around before my eyes....
I saw the ones in the HD catalog....not sure if I like how they look or not...but I'd LOVE to see them in action.....would consider them seeing as being seen is the BEST way of not getting hit.
