I've alway wanted to go to Nova Scotia. My parents are from Scotland and Nova Scotia means "New Scotland" for those that didn't know that.
New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Connecticut is as far as I’ve been.
I'll bet that was a great trip for you.

the roads are a bit better now than back in the 60's. I live next door in New Brunswick . Most drive through here on their way to Nova Scotia. Pretty area.
widen out the map and you will see NB just above NS. Small area really so tour around and see the sights. September is ok but October can get cold towards the end of the month. No I don't work in the tourist industry.

Hey, my family came from your area a generation ago. They were from the Monkton area, not sure if I spelled that right, but heard it is beautiful. Still have some family there, French speaking people. De Grasse is the family name. Love to go there some day, I am from Maine myself and imagine the coast line is similar. Quite a trip now as I live in Wester North Carolina which is lovely too.
We just got back from the East Coast. What a beautiful place to visit. Missed the warf rat rally though. If you are interested here are some pics that we took along the way. http://s279.photobucket.com/albums/k.../EAST%20COAST/
Thanks for the pics, Mike. A group of us from Alberta are having our bikes hauled down there as we speak, then fly down and tour for a couple of weeks...looks like it'll be quite a ride...
I miss riding back home, hopefully the Military posts me back to Nova Scotia this year, as for the storm I spoke with my folks and it wasn't too bad, just lots of wind and rain, took down some trees and lost power for the day of course

This year wasn't too bad - I ride out to Cape Breton every year. This year was #10. 6 days of sun, and 4 days of rain this time. Not too bad. I'm a bigger fan of Edmundston, NB, but the whole area is fantastic.
