My tank has skuff marks from chaps.
I tried washing the tank then some rubbing compound.
It's still there ( at the back of the tank where my leg must have rubbed it ). It's not that noticiable but on that Vivid Black it show up.
After the rubbing compound I buffed it then waxed it.
Still there. Any other hints on how to buff this out ?
Has anyone else had this problem and what cleaner / polish did they use.
I have the same type of rub on the top of my tank. It's also Black. I'm waiting to see what I can do with out messing it up more. I suspect some buffing with a very light abrasive and maybe a repaint of clear.
I have the same problem on my tank. I tried several products with no luck. My buddy had some Super Glaze and it worked pretty well. I found some on the internet, and that's what I use on the tank now. It takes out the blemishing to where you can hardly see it. Whenever I get back from a long trip, I have the blemish on the side of the tank. This stuff seems to work better than anything else I've tried. The Wax Shop Super Glaze. Good luck.
