Well I agree with them, I whine about Virginia all the time, unfortunately I'm an Okie stuck in Virginia though.

I finally just took off and left them on my Dyna.

That throttle has a purpose.
I too have solved similar issues with a simple twist of the wrist.

See ya!

COME ON GUYS, FIRSTPETER STARTED THIS,WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE. NOW BACK TO THE DISCUSSION.

It has little to do with suspension. It would simply make no sense to rubber mount a TCb engine since its not needed. There are people who still want it like it was in the past. Harleys are more like this then most. Also its probable why some cars still have drum bakes on the back. Its cheaper to make for them and this type of saving is rarely passed on... However you could put a TC or a TCb on a Dyna, Softail , or Tour Style type bike.. In case of Dyna and Tour it's swing arms pivot off bearings and it suspended up. The Softail is the same but it is suspended forward. This part has no bearing on how engine is tied in frame.

My first bike was an '02 1200. Great bike. Yeah, it vibrated but it didn't bother me except the mirrors at night were hard to see out of.
My second was an '07 Streetbob. Great bike. I ended up lowering it a little too much so it was a little rough on bumps.
My present bike is an '07 Heritage (that would be a softail). Great bike. It IS smoother than the others. I DO notice it's not quite as quick as my Dyna but I don't really give a ****.

I love Harleys. Period.

"BTW, I did have to take the Harley Davidson written exam when I bought my Lowrider. The first question was: Are You Gay? If YES go to question #2 if NO skip the remaining questions and ask your salesman to take you to the Dyna section where they keep the real motorcycles at your dealership..."

I thought Dynas were for guys who loved Sportsters but were too fat to get them over 60. Go figure...

(Just joshing with you. Dynas are my second favorite bike after an '88 FXST)

I DO notice it's not quite as quick as my Dyna but I don't really give a ****.
Not because of the balancers. There is a weight difference and perhaps other factors.

The only loss in power you'd see on a balanced moter would be on a big horsepower build, and the loss would be measured in 100ths of a second on the quarter mile.
No loss a rider can possibly notice seat of the pants.

Are you sure the balancers don't take away any power from the bike's engine? It was always my belief they did. Not a whole lot mind you but still some.
