We have one store that posts a "no-ethanol" sign. I try to always buy their high-test. Not sure what brand it is, but the bike runs better and gets better mileage.

The Shell stations around here are freaking run-down and have old equipment; slow pumps, out of order lines, inoperable credit card readers, general give a crap attitude from hadji behind the counter. Hate it. Have been using Quik Trip fuel 91 in most all I have aside from my '87 FXR, it'll drink most anything

I've always used Shell here in Sacramento. Then again, my carbed bike runs real lean and will hiccup until it is really warmed up. Thanks for the tip, I'll try some other stuff.

Oh they drink most gas you forcefeed em, but if I have found with mine if I don't want any backtalk from the girl I feed her premium, NO ETHANOL, and usually try to stay with the newer stations with cleaner equipment, newer tanks, which usually equal less bullsh!t coming in through the hose.

Those old places might buy 'whatever' brand (some brands tend to buy their product from jobbers who buy more toward the bottom where more 'coke' exists which is cheaper to buy but is also a cheaper quality), plus many have tanks that are old (and moldy...lol) and filters (or no filters) that are not maintained....but sometimes you have little or no choice.....

I use Shell or Exxon but the reason is they are the only two places where I can find a true three hose pump. With only putting 5 gallons in at a time I am unsure if I truly get 93 octane from a single hose pump. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I only put Chevron Supreme in my Street Bob. I may be deluding myself, but it seems to run better with Chevron.

Around my place in Socal, i avoid Shell at all costs, id rather push my bike than run that crap.

I filled the tank last year with 91, and for the next three days i thought there was something wrong with my bike! at half tank I topped off with Mobil and it was golden.

I know Shell advertises Nitrogen blended fuel, why would someone put and inert gas in fuel is beyond my, basically they add something to take away something else, like real gasoline maybe!

Even in 1999 when i first moved to cali that stuff made my muscle cars run like *** too. They wont get any more $$$ from me!

Kwik Trip is usually my place of preference. Otherwise I look for no ethanol after that I look at price.

Which station for me; Shell, Exxon, Velero, Hell...SAM's Club. Which ever is available. As stated earlier, it all comes from the same distributor. But the real question here is where in the hell do you guys put the gas cap when filling up with that pure non-ethonol, three line gas pump?

Make sure too, that you ask the person behind the counter when the truck came to fill the tanks. Guy who does that for a living saw me pull up one day to get gas as he was filling the stations tanks and walked over to me and told me to wait a day or go get gas somewhere else because when they fill the tanks it stirs up all the stuff that's 'settled' on the bottom and you get all kinds of 'junk' when you pump.
