Sorry about the fall, at least the damage was'nt to bad, one thing though. I would'nt wear those boots on the bike again.

Almost did the same thing with a pair of lace work boots. I knotted them real good so they would stay tied, and the left one looped around the shift lever. I couldn't put my foot down because it was caught, but had enough time to adjust and lean to the right foot when I stopped.

Laces get tucked in now.

quick lesson taught hard ! glad your ok.
it almost happened to me. I simply re-adjusted the shift lever.

I have been riding since '72--45 bikes,17 Harleys, & never dropped ONE!! I have been down twice while a passenger (back in the day before it was considered fruity for a guy to ride on the back) And I had a bike fall over once when the kickstand sunk into hot asphalt. Because it was a Honda, I waited to finish my lunch before bothering to pick it up.

Well, at least you are still smiling in yer sig pic. I got an extra primary chain tensioner if ya ever wanna replace that tooth.

Replaced the stock rubber shift peg (and foot pegs) with a chrome peg. Less friction should solve the issue.
