Dotted line disapering.
Recently, I've noticed municipalities in my area, are eliminating passing areas (dotted lines) on rural and urban roads. When they repaint, the dotted becomes 2 solid yellow lines. I think, it's a lame attempt to prevent people from speeding. All it really does, is makes people take bigger risks when they are in a rush.

what gets me is when you see marked passing zones that there's no way in hell I would try to pass in. There's one not too far down the road leading up to a crest in the road that you can't see past

Some people are to stupid today to navigate the passing zones so they get rid of them instead of raising the idiots IQ level.

The Michigan Dept. of Transportation is changing four lane roads to two lane roads w/center turn lane, and eliminating passing zones on two lane roads. This is being done to accommodate people who shouldn't be driving at all.
