The 37871-98 spring is a reported 145KgF vs the OEM spring 37882-06 of 117KgF with the SE Spring 37951-98 @ 175 KgF. The 37871-98 put the pull effort in the middle between OEM vs SE and to reiterate I did not want the additional pull effort that the SE spring has especially when caught in stop and go traffic.
Well I finally got the chance to change the spring. I put it all back together and took her for a ride and there was no sign of slippage at all. I really didnt think the clutch was that much harder to pull and I even got stuck in traffic for a while. Ill find out for sure if the slippage is gone when I get my wife on the bike. It seemed to have slipped more when she was on it.
I did learn one lesson out of this all, if you dont want to get smacked in the back of the head as your riding down the road dont tell your 130 pound wife she needs to loose some weight because she is causing the clutch to slip.
