I kind of like night riding, due to less taffice. Some areas you have to be more aware of deer crossing hiways. So you let a semi or cage lead the way but always very vigilent.
Rather ride in the day but, night is okay to??? If you think about it, depending on where you live there is less traffic at night!!! Just make sure your are seen, I usually roll with my brights on and figure on the worse from cages, let them go around whatever they need to do to get outta my space
I prefer riding in the day but ride after dark as well. I just take it a little slower. What worries me most living in the country is deer jumping out. It's hard enough to see 'em during the day and at night you have no real chance of spotting them ahead of time. Also, if I recall correctly motorcycle accident stats show a rise in wrecks at night time. Either way best to slow down some and be alert.
I tend to ride during the day out of convenience, but I do enjoy night rides. I especially like the cool air, the lack of traffic, and I love the way the Dials on my RG light up at night. Of course on Fri, and Sat nights they have back to the 80's here on the radio, so I'm floatin in heaven at that point. [8D]
