Engine guard and forward control extensions?

Engine guard and forward control extensions?
Does anyone know if you can install an engine guard on softail with the forward control extensions? It is hard to tell from picvtures if they will clear or not,and I relly don't want to waste money if they won't.

It all depends on how the guard is made and how the foward controls are made. I have seen people with foward controls on bikes with guards, however most all of them had to modify the controls a little to get them to clear. They put a spacer between the controls and the frame to set the pedals out further, or they shortened up the fowards alittle to get clearance on the guard. You need to talk to the parts guys at the dealer to see what will maybe work, if you don't want to modify. Maybe someone on here may also know of an after market setup that may work. But all the ones I've seen have been modified by the bike owner to fit.
