I like your idea and I am pissed off at terrorists/Muslims also. My only problem would be with some little innocent kid staring at the eagle and start copying the talon in the air. Not anything I want my grandkids or my Grandma to be looking at.
I tribute to those lost would be better.
This is just me, but... I could never figure out why someone would hop up a Harley.
As far as the paint... I get the feelings of expression here. But you will always have to worry about some freakin' *** hat screwing with your stuff while you're not around. That is the only thing I would worry about.
I've got an ragged eagle over a faded tattered flag painted on my jacket with the words "Faded Glory" on it. My expression of how I feel about America these days. There has been some words over it.. but no one has tried to take off my back yet. Your bike however... you can't take inside with you.
I feel I need to post once again. I am all for the OP's want to say up yours to terrorists. I stand next to you in this.
However, I do not think on your bike is the right place to display this anger. I believe there are times you would not want the imige of an eagle whippin' the bird at anyone on your bike. Think a Christmas parade with little kids all smiling and happy and this smudge of anger thrown in the faces of little kids. I myself am not offended easily by anything. Example I saw a custom paint once that I thought was truly the best I ever saw. Gohsted skulls and reaper all over an Ultra. Visually running my eyes all 'round this bike in awe of the talent to design and apply this paint. Come around to the other side and there in one spot in a contrasting color so it stuck out was "F&*% Off". My thoughts at that point were, what would my Grandma say to me if that was my ride. She is not a prude and has heard me use said expression but having it out where the whole world sees it ALL the time is not good.
In the end it is your bike...Do as you may.
Well I will be honest; I was really excited about this paint scheme idea. However, I never took into account the kids thing. What would a kid say and think about the American eagle, the symbol of our country, flipping the bird even if it was directed towards the Muslim “A Holes.” However, now I'm leaning towards a 911 tribute with a military background. ASM481, thanks for the idea.
I really appreciated your thoughts and advice.
Ride safe, keep the shinny side up and the rubber on the road.
