Just saw on the news where the NTSB is recommending a national helmet law requiring for all riders.

 

Although I don't agree w/ the feds mandating ANYTHING to me or anyone else, I wear one (La. requires it) and would still wear it if we did not have a helment law. Maybe on some back roads, I'd ditch it though.

I wear a helmet because I choose to. It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up when the Fed tells me I have to do it

 

As long as it does not mandate full face helmets ... I can live with it.

 

Anyone seen the new helmet design that has a "skin" over it? When your head hits the ground, the skin slides and gives, absorbing some of the impact. Actually pretty cool!

But helmets should be optional, left up to individual choice, and the government has no right to tell me that I can't be a risk-taker!
