Old Sorrel, the problem is that Americans have forgotten that responsibility goes hand in hand with freedoms and rights. Everyone is big to stand on their rights, but no-one takes responsibility for their actions. So the Gov. steps in to regulate those with no responsibility, and, by the nature of government, the shotgun blast gets the rest of us too. No way for it now, we're doomed.
I'm more of a traditionalist, I use a combination of flour, water and baking soda. It works really great at keeping the pressure steady. I use the Pledge for keeping the sidewalls of the tires shiny...

This crap is already on the books just worded differently. Most of the laws and ordinances are older than I am. Must suck to have to justify your existance by reinventing the wheel every few terms.
Mr. Wilson is just POed because Dennis the Menace grew up and bought a Harley.

Reason: because I can
As far as I'm concerned, they can take their laws & stuff 'em up their exhaust. Just tonight, I was in Wal-Mart waiting on line for my prescription and I had to endure some family who wouldn't quiet their lousy screamin' brats. I can't tell you how many times I've had meals ruined in restaurants 'cause these wussy-assed parents can't discipline their kids. Well, when I no longer have to listen to screamin' brats, barking dogs, boom box rapmobiles, and all the other offensive, unnecessary aural crap that permeates my ears nowadays, then I'll put my stock pipes back on. Until then--CRAM IT, general public!
Nice thing about Florida--unless you're blatantly flaunting the law by gettin' on the throttle, you can pretty much do anything here. It's a very motorcycle friendly state. Which is good, 'cause it ain't nothin' ELSE friendly!!
Boycott any and all events in NH including Laconia. Oh wait mister Mitchell and his friends are forum members always bichin about loud pipes, so that won't happen. In the immortal words of Emily La Tella ... nevermind.
I have a brand new set of Bub7 Stealths in the closet
they were a warranty replacement and I knew there was a good reason to keep them. They sound almost as good as the V&H Monster Ovals AND they have the EPA stamp on the side. We have a very week need government here in BC and for sure they are going to come after loud bikes just to buy a few vote.

It's real simple, there is 10 or maybe 20 of them to every one of us. If you **** them off badly enough they will make laws saying we can't do this. Thats how democracy works. It doesn't matter if it makes sense or if it is morally right, only will more people vote for it.
So all of you with open exhausts so loud that YOU wear ear plugs just keep open pissing off the sleeping giant...
All of us will end up painted the same brush....
Shortly all law enforcement is going to loose a lot of Fed money as well as local budgets drying up. Noise control will take a backseat to rape, murder, armed robbery and whatever. The day of wall to wall cops is heading to an end.
