Default Tools...sub$500 range for a decent set?

Is it possible. I'm looking to get some new ones and would like to some that are more than relatively decent. Can anyone suggest a set or two for a poor man like myself? All my good tools were stolen outta my truck a while back and I just have the most crap *** set right now. Thanks.

Sears offers several basic mechanic's sets in the Craftsman line for prices ranging from around $150 and up. The more you spend the more types of tools that are included.

The biggest set about 300 bucks will buy at Sears. Then use the other $200.00 for Torx bits, 2 torque wrenches, and other small incidentals.

I agree, Sears will give you the most for your $$$. As stated above get a 200-300 set and add to it with some specialty tools with the extra cash.

I follow the others. Get the Craftsmen Master Set, some extra bits, wrenches, screwdrivers and drill kit. Well below $500

If money is an issue, you might be better to just get a few specific tools that pertain to your bike.
