I have the Drifter also. It is comfortable but not that much less bulky than the HD DOT. I have one of the ACC helmets on order should be here in 2 weeks. When I get it I will post a side by side pic of the two.
I have a Drifter...so far so good...like the ear "warmers"...I were a skid lid normally but since I ride 365, it should keep my brainhousing group warm December-February.
I have a narrow mug so any DOT b-bucket will make me look like Kazoo.
Here is my .02 worth from the product review section.
This is a helmet I would not reccomend. First off I made the mistake of ordering the helmet online. I should have known better. Anyway the helmet doesn't have any padding in the top of the helmet. Your head sits on a hard stryro foam base. I am bald headed (lol) so I have nothing to add cushion to the top of the helmet. Comfort wise this helmet is the worse I have ever worn.
Almost any DOT 1/2 helmet you buy is going to have that 1" or so of styrofoam, giving it that mushroom look. I solved that problem by going with carbon fiber. It was expensive ($180) but it's the smallest, lightest DOT half you've ever seen. It looks almost like a beanie.

My personal opinion is they suck. We have two of them and the styrofoam is hard and they probably have absolutely the worst "aero" of any helmet I have ever worn (on the bike with no windshield) try to do any kind of longer trip (over 50 or so miles) and they will wear your neck completely out......so I ordered one of those carbon fiber jobs sometime back in the stone age and it's not here yet..........
